您好, 巨龍!

Salutations, Dragons!

It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Hainan was a big update, but we can tell that you’re hungry for new events and rewards since you've already had to wait an extra week on account of local holidays. A larger event is scheduled for next week, but right now you can still receive a complementary epithet just for showing up, and our Connection Rewards are being upgraded for the month of October.

Nations of the Land

One of the most rewarding parts of working on a service like Nine Dragons is seeing just how far and wide its appeal goes. We host players from many countries, and to celebrate this, we're giving our players the chance to showcase their national pride.

Each account who logs in during the event period can claim one Nations of the Land exchange coupon, which can be traded with Princess Snowland in Hefei for one of nine Regional Epithets. Each epithet lasts for 30 days once claimed, and grants stat bonuses (identical, regardless of region) while displayed.

Canada excluded intentionally. YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT YOU DID.

Connection Rewards

Another month means a new selection of prizes for staying logged in. 9Dragons Silver Repay has moved up a few spots on the Daily Bonus list, but that’s because the 9Dragons Silver Repay Box contains anywhere from 2 up to 10 of them.

The Monthly Bonus includes some big changes, with all accounts now able to enjoy 7 days of Nine Dragons Premium after logging in for just 6 hours. That’s of little interest to players who already invest in (New) 9D Premium, but we hope it's forgivable, with the Kunlun Boss Accessory Chest now providing the Level 3 stage of one of these four coveted relics. If you continue to join us after you've claimed the relic box, you’ll be rewarded with a cache of five Soul Stones. And who doesn’t go through those like candy?

Papaya Play Marketplace

Red Jade and Violet Silk Bags have been made permanent sales items. Either bag can be placed into your premium bag slots, located above your standard bags, each extends your carrying capacity by 25 items, and each is permanent once purchased.

The Gaurdian Sprit Box (Rank 3-5), in addition to being an uncalled-for abuse of two perfectly good words, contains a Guardian Seal Stone of rank 3 to 5, which you can Register to adopt the Guardian inside. Some are a little beefier than others, but all are ready to gather your spoils, contribute buffs to your cause, and be sent off on their own in the faint hope of finding those Moonlight pants.

Name brand vs. Great Value

Hefei’s Costume Masters have a wide selection of made-to-order outfits, though you’ll be fetching booze for Cho Cheng’s mother for ages if you intend to go after the top shelf decos. However, with a 15% bonus to refinement success chance, they’re still mighty tempting.

The Costume Raffle Box is an affordable means of stocking up on large numbers of Costume Coupons of various grades, if you want to take advantage of that 15%, or if you just want to add one of those appearances to your everyday outfit rotation.

"Then why are you out here?"

Notes:

A few fixes and changes are included with this week’s patch.

Hainan Island

The Masked Man in Hefei now offers three Create options in exchange for your Bloodsea Stones. These stones are awarded from the Masked Man’s daily quest, which requires you to slay ten elite Deviants on Hainan.

A quest indicator (!) now appears above the Masked Man, in case you kept forgetting about him.

Kunlun

The drop tables for major bosses in Kunlun have been re-arranged. Drop items and probabilities have not been altered, but the drop algorithm is being re-adjusted slightly, so higher Item Drop Rates will no longer reduce the frequency of certain high-value items from these creatures.

There has been an ongoing issue where Item Drop Rate can actually decrease the frequency of certain valuable items, due to how drop scripts work in certain areas, and the eight-item maximum on items which can drop from a single creature.

Kunlun will remain exempt from the Item Drop Rate bonus from Hermit’s Blessing for the time being, since only a few Kunlun inhabitants have had this change applied. More creatures will probably have their drop lists similarly rearranged in future patches, but we'll be altering things gradually and carefully observing the results as we go, since Kunlun is a major source of wealth.

The Ensigns of the Land

This event, commemorating the launch of Hainan Island, temporarily added new contents to the [Event] Golden Chests which appear all over the Land. Despite what were supposed to be reasonable rates, the overall feedback regarding the chest contents has been that they are incredibly underwhelming. Thus, for the remainder of the event’s duration, chests will be about 3-4 times more likely to include Insignia, and 5 times more likely to include Hainan Teleport Scrolls.

We’ve not yet decided whether or not the event will be extended on account of these changes, but with these new rates, even a single week may be all you need to earn a set of the event’s relics.

有空再會!

Thanks, and see you in the Land!
